Anchor Hocking

Anchor Hocking started its operations in 1905 in Lancaster, Ohio. The company grew significantly following the 1929 stock market crash through its development of a machine that could produce 90 pieces of blown glass per minute. Its ability to produce high quantities of glass allowed it to survive the Great Depression and become a leader in U.S. glass manufacturing.
